Fire Detection
The Mile series features built-in automatic fire detection, making it the perfect tool for forest management and emergency services personnel — quickly locating fires at a range of up to 1km (fire size 2m and allowing them to respond accordingly, alerting rescue teams and arranging rescue operations in good time.
Extended Battery Life
Extend your observations through the day and into the night with the Mile’s internal rechargeable battery. Providing up to 9 hours battery life (depending on temperature and model), the Mile allows you to carry out your observations without worrying about running out of battery. And, when the battery is depleted, charging is as easy as plugging in the USB cable provided.
Smart Standby Mode
A built-in proximity sensor detects whether or not the monocular is being used, turning off the display when no activity has been detected for a set period of time but maintaining power to all digital functions. This power saving mode ensures the Mile always remains ready to use, without having to wait for the screen to load.
Stadiametric Rangefinder
With the Mile’s stadiametric rangefinder, selecting the target type and placing the measurement lines on the top and bottom of an observed object will ascertain an approximate distance, providing valuable distance data in the field and allowing for informed decision-making during observations.
Robust Performance
An ergonomically designed and robust bodyshell offers a comfortable observation experience, even over long periods. IP67 protection guards the Mile against dust- and moisture-ingress and allows this intuitive thermal imaging monocular to be used come rain or shine. Drop tested to 2m, it will fare well against the everyday bumps and knocks one would come to expect throughout strenuous use, and it will even remain fully operational in extreme temperatures.
